Harmony Day was hosted by USQ Student Life and involved a selection of international food stalls, and cultural experiences and activities. The USQPSS joined in the celebration of cultural diversity today at Ipswich Campus.
On March 12, we had the pleasure of hosting a Q&A event in conjunction with the USQ School of Psychology and Counseling. A panel of 5 academics answered a selection of questions that students had anonymously sent in via our online Q&A box. The academics involved in this event were Dr Jessica Marrington, Dr Raquel Peel, Dr Lorelle Burton, Dr Andrea Lamont-Mills and Dr Samantha Brown.
The event was filmed by the USQ OALT team and is now available as a student resource. You can find a copy of the recording here.
The Q&A exceeded our expectations and we are so proud of this event and the subsequent resource that was created. It was an incredible day and we are grateful for the time and knowledge of our panelists and the USQ OALT team.
Thank you to everyone who posted questions to the Q&A box and also those who attended.
It’s International Women’s Day!
Whether in politics, the sciences, athletics or the arts, women have driven society forward throughout history. While it is inspiring to see how far women have come, it is important to remember that there is still a long journey ahead of us.Today we acknowledge and celebrate all the women in our community and throughout the world. Here’s to strong women!
May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Steph (President) and Tarra (Vice President) attended the Student Life Expo today at the Ipswich Campus! Everyone who visited the USQ PSS booth went into the draw for a $50 City Cave voucher and were also able to spin the wheel and win a prize.
Several members of the USQ PSS were involved in the Ipswich Hospice Care Trivia Night tonight! We came 10th overall and it was an enjoyable night for such a good cause. We are all looking forward to participating again next year!
