Dr Raquel Peel has kindly extended the following invitation to Psychology students in 3rd year and beyond…

The School of Psychology and Counselling is hosting a guest lecture by Dr Sarah Ashton titled ‘A Psychological Approach to Sex Therapy’. This lecture will be online via zoom on Thursday 8th April from 3-4pm.

This presentation will outline how psychological models and evidence-based treatments can be utilised to treat sexual issues. Dr Sarah Ashton will give an overview of key terms, theories and frameworks (such as sexual response theory). She will share some of her professional experience and strategies for holding inclusive, safe, therapeutic space when discussing sexual issues with clients.
